Introducing our Guest Designers:

beverlydtm.jpgBeverly Warwick

I'm Beverley.  I live in Wellington, New Zealand with my husband, Michael, and three children Rebekah (9), Alexander (7) and Jessianna (4). I began scrapping not long after having my first child 9 years ago. In those days I had a small box of supplies which I'd spread out on the floor in front of the TV  while Rebekah was sleeping, now I have far too many supplies and a built in 'studio' in the corner of our lounge ... I still watch t.v while scrapping though!

Before scrapping I dabbled in card making, cross-stitch, teddy bear making, mosaics, glass painting and any other crafty pursuits I came across. (God made me in His likeness and I can't help being creative.) Scrapbooking, however, has been the one thing that has stuck and is now a firm part of my daily life. I love the creative process, I love the finished projects and layouts and I love keeping the memories alive. I think Alexander put it best when he said "But Mum, I couldn't come quickly, I was looking at these photos and they were making me have memories!"

Another aspect of scrapbooking which I have really come to appreciate this year is that of friendships. I have met some incredible, amazing and beautiful people through scrapbooking. People who share the same love of scrapbooking, who understand the importance of recording the memories. People who also value the creative process and who understand the 'therapy' scrapbooking can provide. People who understand that shopping for supplies is a highly important part of the process too. I am thankful for on-line forums, galleries and shops where both friendships and scrapping can flourish ... I'm thankful for Heaven-Sent.

I am Michelle, SAHM of three, Jhane (10yrs), Nate (4yrs) and Kiah (1yr), married to DH Troy who supports my addiction. We live in Sheidow Park, South Australia where I grew up as a child.

I have been scrapping for just about 6 years now.  I started scrapping when my eldest started to ask questions about when she was a baby. Wanting to preserve the precious moments of all my children’s lives I have become addicted. I enjoy being able to preserve not only the big events in their lives but the little things too.. the ones we often forget. I love being able to express my emotions in my scrapbooking and each piece I do is very dear to me.

I don’t have a particular style I don’t think. I like to try new things and don’t plan my layouts too much. I am luck enough to have my own studio to scrap in and this is over flowing with goodies I find that can be used in some way for scrapbooking. I like to play around with things when I scrap and enjoy adding dimension to my work.

I am very passionate about scrapbooking and have taught at several scrapbooking shops in Adelaide along with teaching my own workshops from home. I am also the South Australian Ambassador for Fiskars. I enjoy this role, as I am able to share ideas with other and show them what they can do. I teach classes, run crops and do in store demonstrations for Fiskars, which I consider to be more fun than, work.

I enjoy teaching and have been told I am a very patient teacher.  Teaching scrapbooking means a lot to me also. I love being able to help other express themselves. Scrapbooking plays a very important role in my life. I feel that it is a way of me showing my friends and family how much I love them. I find that I have been blessed to be able to create what I do.

I am Jamie, wife to Lucas, and mother to Kaylee (5). We live in Harrison ACT, a suburb of Canberra. We have been living here for a little over a year now. Lucas and I have been married for 6 years and we have had quite an adventurous marriage so far.

I have been scrapbooking for over 8 years. I love to make altered books, Off the Page projects, cards, lay outs, etc. I also enjoy painting, sewing, and decorating.

Currently I stay at home, so that gives me a lot of spare time to be crafty. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every member of the Heaven-Sent scrapbooking community better. I also look forward to sharing and learning from each other, too!
